ESL World has finally announced the attending teams and players for the final steps of the Season IV Asian Championship Finals. Attending the finals will be eight Counter-Strike teams and eight World of Warcraft teams. To top that off will be eight of some of the most notorious names within the professional Quake eSports field. The teams and players are, of course, divided down the middle for the playoffs, leaving the bracket open for the top teams to compete for $49,000 and seven World Championship slots.
From the Asian Counter-Strike team, we are given the highly-professional and very successful squad from WeMade FOX . Although events of this sort tend to bring in surprises from the left field, (take for example crystal from IOL), FOX is definitely a fan favorite and has good odds for coming out on top.
Meanwhile, the Asian World of Warcraft scene is sure to bring in some highly intense matches. As a long-standing adversary and fan favorite, we have WeMade FOX heading up Group A as a top contender for its bracket. On the other hand, we are given an opportunity to examine the new and tenacious TitaNs squad. A showdown between BB and SK would certainly be a highly-anticipated rivalry that could very likely conclude an intense Asian Finals.
Finally, the final spots for the Quake Live finals have been drawn out. Included in this line-up are star players, such as Cyrus 'proZaC' Malekani, who is well-known for his dominance from 2000 to 2003 in the Quake scene. Meanwhile, Zhibo 'Fan Zhibo' Fan is a strong contender as well, as being a high profile dueller to never break through a large-scale event and win.
